NetCrunch led to a measurable and noticeable increase in system uptime, a reduction of production-stopping outages, and an overall cost savings that has already surpassed our investment in NetCrunch.

Before NetCrunch we had investigated numerous paid and open source solutions and all left something to be desired. Some, while very powerful, required their own dedicated staff to maintain and add functionality. Others, while much easier to setup and maintain, sorely lacked much needed features to support a distributed enterprise network. It had gotten to the point where some of our developers had even built a lightweight monitoring system to fill the gaps within the existing systems we were leveraging. This led to chaos and confusion with our technicians when trying to troubleshoot issues as data was not available all from a single system.
Installation and configuration of NetCrunch was a breeze and we had each site up and monitoring basic functions within a day. Within the first 24 hours NetCrunch had already alerted us to what would have been a production stopping incident had it been left unchecked. Instead we were able to resolve the issue before production staff ever even noticed the outage.
We are currently monitoring approximately 1300 nodes and leveraging a multitude of checks. This has led to a measurable and noticeable increase in system uptime, a reduction of production-stopping outages, and an overall cost savings that has already surpassed our investment in NetCrunch.
