NetCrunch 9.3 Quick Overview

Another update containing over 500 change requests brings many improvements and fixes.

New Features

Smart Pages

Navigation -has been improved. Program automatically shows pages according to the view content. User can override settings and selected pages to be visible and default page for the view.

New dashboard shows details of nodes (it can display up to 50 nodes)

All settings are now available from Settings page

Search now have options and looks for:

Auto Sizing

Dashboards, Maps and grids have auto scaling feature that adjust size to screen size and content
In full screen mode dashboards are automatically scrolling down and up

Monitoring

Generic Agent Data Sensor

allows sending data to NetCrunch using REST API. It supports also sending status values so user can easily track and react these statuses. For example by sending status of door=open we can visualize it and react on its change or value.

Multiple monitoring credentials

Now you can create multiple profile for each system. Previously only default profile was available.

AD Auto Re-scanning

Now AD domains can be re-scanned Added auto re-scanning for AD containers

Other Improvements

Redesigned top menu layout to make it more intuitive
Atlas Rescan - added ability to re-scan whole atlas when you add new SNMP profiles or services this way program can re-scan all nodes, networks and domains in similar way to initial scanning.
Each node has now Display Name, previously display name could be set only for a given view
NetCrunch triggers new event after backup is finished
Event Suppression management has been redesigned
On a Layer 2 maps traffic is shown in both directions now
