To monitor a Windows Service on a specific server, you can add it to monitoring for a single server.
- Right-click on the selected Windows node/group of nodes to open the Node Settings window.
- In the Monitoring tab, scroll down to the Windows section and click on the
Servicestile. You may see a list of services that are already monitored for this node. - Click on the
+ Alertbutton to open the window where you can see the types of events related to the Windows Services state that can be monitored. Select the event type from the list or add a new one using+ Event for Windows Service State. - In the Alerting Rule window, select the service from the list in the Service name field. Adjust other alerting rule settings in this window as needed, and then click OK.
- Assign the alerting script to the created alert.
If you want to add an alert for the same Windows Service to a group of nodes, you may create a new monitoring pack (Settings->Alerting & Notifications->Monitoring Packs and Policies) and then add the nodes to this monitoring pack.
