To configure email notification:

Open Settings->Alerting & Notifications->Email. Under "Default reply address," type the address that will be displayed for new email notifications once the alert is triggered. It can be, e.g., netcrunch@yourdomain.com. Click "Add SMTP Server" and add your mail server for sending notifications.

Go to Settings->Alerting & Notifications-> Alerting Scripts, click Add Alerting Script->Action to Run Immediately->Basic->Email. Set the needed restrictions or leave it as the default. Under parameters, provide the email address to which the notification will be sent. You can also use the "Test" button to verify that the notification works properly. After that, hit OK and set the proper name of your script. Close all windows with the OK or Save buttons.

Go to NetCrunch menu->Alerting & Notifications->Monitoring Packs & Policies. Select and open the desired monitoring pack, then select the desired alerts. Right-click and choose "Assign Predefined Alerting Script," and select your email alerting script. Close all windows using the OK or Save buttons.
After that your email alerting script should work for selected alerts, once they are triggered you should get an email notification.
