NetCrunch Upgrade Procedure

1. Please log in to the Customer Portal and download NetCrunch Server and Console from the download section. If you forget your password, click 'Forgot Password'.

2. Create a quick backup of your NetCrunch configuration ((hamburger menu)->Maintenance->Backup->Quick Backup.

3. Deactivate your license with NCLicensemanager.exe located in the Start menu or in the program installation directory, and follow the steps listed there.

Wait for the AdRem NetCrunch Server service restart.

1. Run NetCrunch Server Installer - it will uninstall the previous version of NetCrunch automatically and update your Atlas configuration data in place.

2. Your program starts in the evaluation mode now.

For NetCrunch Server that is connected to the Internet

1. In NetCrunch Console, select the Install License button,

Or go to the (hamburger) menu Help->Install License. You can also use the NCLicenseManager.exe tool that was used for the deactivation process.

1. Choose Online activation.

2. Log in to the customer portal. Select the license and click Activate. NetCrunch will automatically download and activate your license.

For NetCrunch Server in an isolated network

1. In the NetCrunch console, select the Install License button

Or go to the (hamburger) menu Help->Install License. 2. Choose Install from File 3. Save your activation key displayed in the frame. 4. Log in from another device (with an internet connection) to the Customer Portal 5. Enter the saved activation code and download the license file. Your license file can now be installed on the specified NetCrunch Server. 6. Go back to the NetCrunch console (Install from File window) 7. Click on Load License from File and select the license file that you have downloaded. Whenever you want to update your NetCrunch license (for example, after renewing your update subscription), you need to download a newer license file.

After Installing

Your NetCrunch Server will restart automatically. Now you can check your license and upgrade subscription info in the Help->About window.

License deactivation

License deactivation is mandatory before moving the NetCrunch installation to another machine.

To deactivate your license, use NCLicenseManager.exe located in the Start menu or in the program installation directory, and follow the steps listed there.
