Downsizing NetCrunch license

I have 1500 nodes license but after reorganization, I only need 1000 nodes license. Can I reduce my node pack size?

Applies to 15.x 14.x 13.x 12.x 11.x 10.x

To ensure uninterrupted network monitoring, here's the procedure for switching from a larger to a smaller NetCrunch license.

  1. Request a new limited-time license of the target size for you (in this case, 1000 node pack) from AdRem
  2. Deactivate (permanent) larger NetCrunch license and apply a smaller (limited-time) license to your NetCrunch Server
  3. Notify AdRem about the deactivation of the larger license
  4. AdRem disables your older, larger license.
  5. AdRem converts your limited-time, smaller license into a permanent license that you can continue using in your smaller environment.
  6. Refresh your license in NetCrunch so that it is converted into a permanent license in your NetCrunch Server.

Please note that downsizing is available at the renewal anniversary once a year. Adding new nodes, interfaces, or other add-ons is possible at any time during the year.
