Node settings -> Monitoring->
Change Leading Service and Checking Time when node is down
The simplified and standard monitoring type allows setting the leading service and checking time only when a node is DOWN.
When the leading network service and all other currently monitored services on the node become unresponsive, the monitoring of other network services on the node is temporarily disabled.
In addition, the monitoring of performance counters is disabled for the node.
This limited manner of node monitoring will be continued in order to conserve resources, until the leading network service is responsive (is in UP state). In such a case, monitoring of other network services and performance counters will return to normal (will be enabled).
For the simplified and standard monitoring type the leading service checking time can be defined over 1 minute.
To select a leading network service and checking time for a node with simplified or standard monitoring type:
- Right-click a node in the Map view and from its context menu select Node settings, and then Monitoring.
- Select the Simplified or Standard monitoring type on the General tab.
- Use the Change Leading Service and Checking Time When Node is Down link. The Change Leading Service and Check Time window opens.
- In the Leading Service field select the network service that is to be the leading network service for the current node.
- In the Check Time field specify the desired time to check if the node is up. Alternatively, use the
Resetbutton set the program default monitoring time. ClickOK.
