Defining Startup Script

Settings->NetCrunch System->Server->Startup Script

In the Startup Script page, you can define a script that will be executed automatically during the NetCrunch startup procedure before NetCrunch is started.

For example, you may want to perform the hard drive mapping before running NetCrunch. When a startup script is defined, it is executed automatically at the next startup time of NetCrunch.

To define a startup script:

1. In the Script File Name field, select a script file to be executed automatically. The following file extensions are supported: *.bat, *.cmd, *.wsh, *.js, *.vbs.
2. In the Parameters field, define additional parameters to the selected script.
3. When the Wait Until Script Finishes check box is checked, you can define a delay time before NetCrunch resumes the startup procedure. If the script execution process exceeds the delay time, NetCrunch will interrupt it and resume the startup procedure. If the script execution process completes before the delay time, NetCrunch will resume the startup procedure immediately. The script is executed as an independent process. Therefore, if this checkbox is unselected, the script is executed concurrently, regardless of the NetCrunch startup procedure.
4. To test the selected script, click the Test Script button.
5. To open a log file (StartupScript.txt) of the executed script, click the View Log button. The log file is created during the script execution of the NetCrunch startup procedure.
6. To clear the log file, click the Clear Log button.

Note: In the script execution log file, you can check whether the startup script executed successfully or if any errors occurred during execution.

The information in the log file appears only when console communication is used during a startup script execution and the Wait Until Script Finishes checkbox is ticked.
