Creating a data collection for reporting is a process that consists of two stages:

  1. Creating a monitoring pack You can also define a data collection for reporting within any existing monitoring pack, whether predefined or custom-created.
  2. Starting the data collection creation process It includes selecting report templates and assigning each report a scheduled time for generation, saving, and email delivery.
Predefined report templates

NetCrunch provides a comprehensive list of predefined report templates. All predefined report templates are ready to use.

In addition to the predefined report templates, NetCrunch provides a set of report templates with user-configurable parameters. They are indicated by the asterisk located on the left side of such a report template in the Add Report window.

Report scheduling

A schedule for generating, saving to a file, and sending via email can be assigned to each report.

By default, the Enabled state is assigned, and no report is scheduled. You can specify the schedule and assign it to any selected report.

Schedule configuration

The schedule configuration is the final step in defining reports. In this step, the report generation configuration is set up. At the specified generation time, NetCrunch will save the collected data to a file and email it as a PDF.

You can specify the email recipient to whom the selected report will be automatically sent at the scheduled time. In this way, each report included in the data collection can be saved and sent to different recipients at different time schedules.

Note Once a data collection for reporting has been created, you can modify its rules at any time.
