What does the message: 'Event database is corrupt' mean?

My event database is corrupt, and I cannot open the console. What should I do?

Applies to 15.x 14.x 13.x 12.x 11.x 10.x 9.x

Here is how to fix this problem:

  1. First, please stop the NetCrunch Server service, then go to C:\ProgramData\AdRem\NetCrunch\data and copy the atlases.xml file to your desktop.

  2. Now edit the file and change current="$2" to current="$0".

  3. Copy the file to the data folder and start the NetCrunch Server service. You should now be able to start the console.

  4. Open the Simulated Network Atlas

  5. Go to Applications tab-> Server-> Event Database, select your Atlas, and enable the Verify event database integrity before opening option. Open the Atlas.

Please note: This operation can take several hours, depending on the database size and the hardware used.

If running "Verify event database integrity before opening" does not resolve your Atlas issue, please import the backup without the event database.
