How to narrow the scope of network discovery? (7.x-8.x)

We would like to narrow the scope of network discovery, is it possible?

Applies to 8.x 7.x

During atlas creation:

Run Network Discovery Wizard. On the second step, use the "Add Network" option and select the network address which should be scanned for nodes. Next add the range of address or a single nodes which shouldn't be scanned.

Example:

Add the network 192.168.3.0 with mask 255.255.248.0 with excluded range between 192.168.3.0 and 192.168.3.50. Next, add second exclusion range which contains nodes between 251 and 255.

Now the program will ignore nodes starting between 0 and 50 and it will scan nodes from 51 to 250 and it will also ignore nodes: 251 to 255. After networks and exclusions are set, follow the next steps of the Wizard and wait for the atlas scanner to complete the scan.
