NetCrunch enables displaying nodes connected to each port on the selected switch. If the node connected to the switch is included in the monitored atlas then all information can be displayed in the the Port Mapping window.
If the IP address of the node cannot be resolved, the information <not in Atlas> is displayed in the Name field and no additional information is available (except the MAC address).
If IP address of the node is resolved but the node is not included on the monitored atlas then the IP address is displayed in the appropriate field. NetCrunch allows also displaying information about VLANs if they are configured on the monitored switch.
To display a list of ports on a switch:
- Right-click the desired physical segment from the Network Atlas window and select Port Mapping from the context menu.
- Alternatively, right-click the switch in the Map window and select
Node Status->Port Mapping.
