NetCrunch comes with more than 60 predefined network services that can be monitored on any node in the network.
Follow the steps below to monitor network service with NetCrunch:
- right click on any node, select
Monitoring->Network Services->Properties - click 'Add Service' button to add a new network service to be monitored
- select desired network service from pull down menu (Note: Some of the network services can be monitored on Advanced level like: HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, FTP, POP3, SMTP)
- click
OK - you can tweak monitoring settings for each listed network service
NetCrunch allows user to create a new custom network service definition. Go to Tools->Options->Monitoring->Network Services->Definitions.
