Adjusting PING sensitivity

Most of our sites are connected over slow links. Is there any way to change the default ping timeout so that the Device Down alert does not fire off so quickly?

All or some devices shown as down in NetCrunch. When I look at Ping statistics by double clicking a device and selecting "Network Services", it says: Invalid address. I can use the cmd line ping and it works.
