Basic Alert Configuration (Service Down)

The answer to both those questions is yes!

To set up an alert that is triggered when service stopped do the following steps. Please note, you can do this at the atlas level, at the map level or at the node level.

This example will show you how to define the alert at the Node level:

1. Right click on the node, select Alerts-->configure<
2. Click the green [ + ] plus sign to add an event
3. in next window, Click the green [ + ] plus sign to add an event
4. in next window, click the [ + ] next to Network Service
5. select Network Service State Event
6. Type in a general name for the event for ex: "HTTP service stopped"
7. Select severity level
8. Select Monitored Service
9. Ensure that Service Status=Down
10. click OK, click OK.
