Setting up corrective action based on an event (host down)

First define the event and alert as shown in steps of related kb article

Then add the alert by following the next steps:

1. Double-click the defined event.
2. Click Add button and select whether an action should be performed immediately or delayed.
3. From Control tab select Run Windows Program/script or Run SSH script, depending on what system this action should be executed.
4. Type in a description under Action from Run Program on drop down menu, where the program or script should be executed.
5. Indicate path of file name by clicking the folder icon.
6. Include any necessary parameters (this can be blank).
7. Click the green + sign to add additional parameters from a menu (like MAC address or IP address).
8. Click OK to finish this process.

Once the event is generated, NetCrunch will automatically execute script or program.
