NetCrunch uses SNMP information to determine device type. To be able to see all nodes properly discovered you have to install the SNMP agent on these machines. You may also set up device type manually for selected node or group of nodes (multiselect devices), by accessing node's properties.

Identifying nodes properly
I can see all of my nodes on my NetCrunch map, but only one node shows the description as being a Windows 2008 R2 Server on the network map. However, I have at least 5 to 10 Windows 2008 R2 Servers.
