How do I migrate NetCrunch to another machine?

Create Atlas Backup

1. Go toNetCrunch -> Maintenance -> Backup....
2. Choose the option Backup to Separate folder....
3. Choose Path to folder and select Full Backup for migrating data to other machine.

Copy atlas backup to new NetCrunch server machine and Import Atlas to NetCrunch

1. After creating a backup, copy the backup file to the new machine and install NetCrunch Server.
2. Go to NetCrunch -> Maintenance-> Import Atlas from another machine..., select backup file, and click Import.
3. After a while your new NetCrunch Server will be ready to monitor your network from the new machine.

Deactivate License on old NetCrunch server machine

1. Run NetCrunch License Manager from the Start menu or open NetCrunch installation folder and run NcLicenseManager.exe
2. Click on Deactivate and select deactivation method (Online or Offline) and follow the procedure described here: License Deactivation

Activate License on new NetCrunch server machine

Follow activation process described in License installation procedure

Enable Atlas Monitoring

Please make sure that you enabled atlas monitoring (it is disabled by default after atlas import), to do that, right click on Overview in "Views" and Enable Monitoring.
