It is recommended that you use a combination of NetCrunch (nightly) backup with your system's backup.
For instance if you have your backup utility run at 1:00 a.m., you can set NetCrunch to do a backup of its Atlas, configuration, trends, and data at 12:00 a.m.
It is not necessary and overly redundant to backup the entire NetCrunch working directory. In addition, certain services are run when the application is running making those files inaccessible by the backup utility.
NetCrunch performs a nightly backup and stores 3 atlases by default (can be changed) of the prior three nights in the ..\ProgramData\AdRem\NetCrunch\version\data\backup\ directory. All that's needed is to backup this one [backup] directory.
