Tools->Options->Monitoring->Windows Event Log
NetCrunch allows monitoring the Event Logs on selected Windows machines in the monitored atlas.
Such events can be created in the Received NTLog Entry Event class of the Add Monitoring Event window, during the alerting creation process: Tools->Alerting and Reporting->Select the monitoring pack->
Edit->Add alert icon->Windows tab.
Enabling monitoring of the Windows Event Log in NetCrunch
This option is disabled by default.
- To enable monitoring right-click on the selected node, point to
Node settings->onitoring Engines->Windows section, and set Monitor Windows Event Log check box.
Reconnect time interval
You can specify the reconnect time interval when NetCrunch will connect to the Windows machines selected in alerting and gather information specified in created events.
Detailed information received by the NTLog Entry Event is displayed in the Event Preview window.
Grouping the same log entries
NetCrunch uses the mechanism of grouping identical Windows Event Log entries received during monitoring.
In the Grouping time-frame field, the you can specify the time when received Windows Event Log entries will be combined. The program default is 15 seconds.
