Adding a GSM gateway

We use email to SMS Service. It means we send an email notification to [myphonenumber]@gateway.com and they send the email message per sms directly to my phone. I don't see my cell phone company in the predefined list of gateways. How do I define a new gateway in NetCrunch?

Follow these steps to add SMS gateway

  1. After you've added the alert, right click on it and Edit the alerting Script.
  2. Click on the Add button to define a new alert.
  3. From the 'Basic' group select 'SMS via Email option.
  4. Click on the hand view/edit gateways.
  5. Click Add Gateway button to add a new gateway.
  6. Type in the name and the SMS gateway, click OK.
  7. Select from the newly modified list (the pull-down), click OK.

Now you have added a new SMS gateway and added a new action. You can add an alert now (click next to follow through) or call on this later when you need it.
