How to add up time widget

I would like to create a widget and display a device up time, how can I do it?

Applies to 13.x 12.x 11.x 10.x 9.x

The easiest way of adding Up Time to Widget is to select one from our predefined counters. These counters are added to NetCrunch by default. Please note that the monitored node must have SNMP enabled.

In order to add up time monitoring from predefined counter:

  1. Create new Graphical View (or edit existing one) and add data widget - Value and Text is most suitable here. Use blue Edit button and drag & drop widget on the background.
  2. After Widget is added select it and edit its properties on the right part of the console.
  3. In Data Source select Node, now select the node, which Up Time you want to monitor for.
  4. Select Counter - in most cases counter list should contain Up Time by default.
  5. If Up Time is not present on counter list, select Add counter to monitor->SNMP Monitor ->Select from counter library -> Performance object: Global -> Up time.
  6. Disable Default units detection option and select seconds as a data units.
  7. Exit view Edit mode by clicking blue View button, widget will be updated shortly.
  8. To check if everything was configured properly, right click on node with Up Time counter monitored and select SNMP View. After data is loaded, compare Up time from SNMP info with the widget.

If this way doesn't work, check another solution to add Up Time to Widget using values from MIB here.
