To set up an alert that is triggered based on the rising of % Bandwidth utilization, please follow these steps:
- Right-click the node, select
Alerting->Edit Node Alerting Policy(note: node needs to be SNMP enabled). In NetCrunch 7.x selectNode settings->Alerts & Reports->Manage node alerts and reports. - Click
Addbutton to add an event. - From the SNMP tab, select SNMP Performance Threshold.
- Under description type in a general name for the event.
- To select counter, click Performance counter blue text.
- Click the button with dots
...to select predefined SNMP counter. - From Performance Object list select .NCNC.SNMP.Interfaces. 8.Select either % FD or % HD Bandwidth Utilization.
- Select instance.
- Complete the condition (e.g., ...value of .NCVC.Bandwidth exceeds 40...).
- Click
OK.
